Rebecca Kassay
In 2022, Long Island swung Republican, shocking many Democrats.
The incumbent Democrat previously representing New York's 4th Assembly District lost in 2022 by less than 700 votes.
In 2024, Deputy Mayor of Port Jefferson Rebecca Kassay defeated the Republican incumbent in what turned out to be one of the CLOSEST elections in all of New York State. The race wasn't called until Thanksgiving!
We were able to take advantage of the debut of New York's state legislative matching funds program to earn up to 12X matching on qualifying in-district donations for hundreds of donations to Rebecca from our emails and texts.
To maximize matching funds from the state, we embarked on a robust cell and email acquisition program for our client Rebecca Kassay while making clear to donors what matching funds could do for even a $5 donation in this incredibly close race.
The stringent rules of the matching funds program meant if a donor gave dollar 251, all the matching for dollars 1 - 250 went away.
We were able to find success with so much cold outreach due to compelling content about Rebecca's background in environmental sustainability and her experience as proprietor of a local B&B. Oh yeah … and Rebecca's opponent got disbarred a few weeks before the election. We made sure folks knew about that.
